Florian Wirtz appears to have made a decision about his future. His departure from Bayer Leverkusen during the summer transfer window is almost certain, and according to Transfermarkt, the German star has chosen Real Madrid.
There is still strong interest from Bayern Munich, but it seems Wirtz favors a move to Los Blancos. However, the Spanish giants will have to pay his €125 million release clause to secure the services of the 21-year-old.
The attacking midfielder has had an impressive season with “Die Werkself.” In 40 appearances, the Bundesliga champion has scored 15 goals and provided 13 assists.
